Operation Halloween is a wholesome family-fun event provided annually for our communities by the Rotary Club of Southern Ocean County in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of the Jersey Shore Council. This project is not a fund raiser for our club, but a community service project. It is held at the Joseph A. Citta Scout Reservation in Brookville, NJ which provides the perfect “scare” environment.

Activities include a “non-scare” Hayride, live music, a scary pathway to Zombie Outbreak Maze which attracts MANY of various age groups. Various types of food is sold, along with organization displays/demonstrations and other Halloween activities, such as Pumpkin Face Painting, Face Painting, and Hay Maze.

While the main purpose of Operation Halloween is to provide a wholesome family fun activity, groups are welcomed to use the event as a fund raiser by distributing discount coupons. A group will receive $1 for every paid entrance with a discount coupon with the group’s name purchased at the entrance gate. Groups may also sponsor a booth for selling food & items and providing a wholesome activity (ex – face painting, game), retaining any profit they earn. Businesses may also participate by donating their sales profit to a nonprofit organization of their choosing.
