LCFT cordially invites you along with your Family and Friends to attend the auspicious occasion of Sharad Purnima night. Style yourself traditionally and get ready with your Garba moves and Dandiya sticks to buzz the evening!

We will be presenting Music with Goonjan Entertainment with lead vocalist Kirit Bhai Mistry and his wonderful band, as well as Disco Dandiya

 

Date:         Saturday, 12 October, 2019

Time:        7:30pm – 8:00pm – Garba for Children and Parents
                 
8:00pm to 11:30pm – Garba, Aarti, and Disco Dandiya!

Dress:        Recommended to dress in white or colorful traditional Indian outfit and bring your own dandiya.
 
                     Children under 12 who dress up will be especially appreciated!
 
Entry:           Members - Free                     

                     Non-Members - $10.00 Per adult
                     
Non-Members - $ 5.00 Per child between the age of 5 and 12 years

MITHAI COMPETITION

Get ready this year to prepare mouth-watering sweets for our Mithai Competition which will take place during the Sharad Purnima Garba day. Get creative and impress our judges with prizes to be won. Below are the details for the Competition:

Competition Rules

· Mithai should be one item, home-made by the single participant only

· Vegetarian & eggless

· Dry (i.e. no raso or liquid milk, etc.)

· Give your Mithai a Unique Name to provide on entry

· Present in a decorative manner on a single plate along with the printed recipe

Competition Categories

· 15 Years & Above

· Under 15 Years

Prizes – points will be given based on taste and presentation combined

1st Prize in both age categories
2nd Prize in both age categories 

 

Entry Deadline:  All Mithai entries to be brought to the Navratri event and submitted between 7.30pm and 8:30pm cut off time.
