Through Gift of Life, Rotary Clubs worldwide are helping to save the lives of indigent children with congential heart defects by enabling them to receive needed heart surgery. To date, Gift of Life has provided funding for more than 15,000 children and hopes to do the same for at least another 3,000 kids every year. Several clubs in our district have formed the "Gift of Life 5340 Foundation" in order to help sponsor children for heart surgery. One hundred and ten (110) children have already been sponsored by the Foundation.

La Jolla Sunrise Rotary's fundraiser for Angel Faces raised almost $30,000 for this one-of-a-kind organization. Founded by Lesia Cartelli, Angel Faces provides healing retrieats and ongoing support to adolescent girts with burn and trauma injuries. It dedicates itself to helping these girls achieve their maximum potential and develop meaningful relationships for themselves, with their families and their communities.

GRADUATION
To as done together at last our obstacles drama and stress pass.  They thought we couldn't do it but we know they thought wrong.  "Cuz we're the Class of 2013 and we do it strong!"
Through thick 'n thin through fire 'N ice some students have to pay the price.  Berkeley, Santa Cruz, & San Diego State, even if some are graduating late, everyone has a chance to make it right at the end of the tunnel is something so bright.
