Board Meeting - March 26, 2019
 

 

The Show-Me Cosmo Board meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. March 26 at the Jerry Sigmund Cosmopolitan Building. In attendance were Julie and Brian McNeill, Kay Brejcha, Lora and Aaron Zaner, Dayton Shepherd, Bill and Jeane Tetro, Bill Giddings and Sara Echternach.

 

The minutes from the previous board meeting were approved.

 

The club received a newsletter from the Ronald McDonald House.

 

Treasurer Kay Brejcha said that Bill Tetro has created a comprehensive financial report that provides a breakdown of revenue and expenses for the past year and a list of members who have and have not paid dues for the past two years.

            The board approved the financial report, which will include balances for the Raymond James account and the club’s checking account as of the last day of the previous month in order to reconcile with the accounts’ most recent statements.

            The board decided to move the memberships of Brenda Hunter, John Selk and Rollin Thompson to inactive status based on a combination of nonparticipation in club events and nonpayment of dues for the past year.

            The board discussed the increasing amount in fees from Sage for credit card and debit card payments for meals at the general meetings. Kay said she will contact Sage for a more complete list of fees for the past year.

 

Membership Vice President Jeane Tetro reported that the Bunco Extravaganza had 36 members and guests in attendance.

 

The board approved the following board nominations for the upcoming year: John Hubert as president, Tim Echternach as president-elect, Sara Echternach as vice president of membership, Kay Brejcha as secretary, Bill Tetro as treasurer, Julie McNeill as parliamentarian, Elaine McCoy as sergeant-at-arms, Jeane Tetro and Aaron Zaner as two-year board members and Lora Zaner and Bill Giddings as one-year board members.

 

The board approved the following members as delegates for the Mo-Kan Convention: Brenda Hanson, Anita Hubert, Dayton Shepherd, Elaine McCoy and Rose La Mantia. The convention will be held April 26-28 at the Holiday Inn in Overland Park, Kansas.
