Dr. Howard J. Spearman was named Rock Valley College’s eighth president in July 2020 and began his tenure as RVC president on September 1, 2020. His vision for the future of RVC is based on four pillars: access, exceptional educational opportunities, exceptional training opportunities, and diversity, equity and inclusion.
A graduate of Beloit Memorial High School in Beloit, Wisconsin, Dr. Spearman went on to earn a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. A lifelong learner, Dr. Spearman earned his Ph.D. in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service in 2009 from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
With over two decades of higher education experience, his passion for student advocacy and success continues to be at the forefront of his purpose in life. While he has received multiple career achievements, his daily reward is being happily married with three growing sons.
Dr. Spearman will be presenting on the good things that RVC is up to.
