Dr. Michael J. Born - New CEO of Swedish American

Dr. Born became SwedishAmerican’s president and CEO on July 1 of this year. Prior to becoming president and CEO, Dr. Born practiced Emergency Medicine for 25 years and served as Chief Medical Officer and Chief Quality Officer at SwedishAmerican.

Since becoming SwedishAmerican’s president and CEO, Dr. Born is guiding the organization into a new era with the announcement of investing nearly $36M into two new state-of-the-art clinics in Rockford and officially breaking ground on SwedishAmerican’s new $4.1M clinic on Rockford’s southwest side.

Additionally, he will oversee Swedish American’s proposed $130M project to construct a new state-of-the-art women’s and children’s tower while also making significant renovations on its main hospital campus.  Register now for his presentation to our club!
