We have a very special guest for this upcoming week luncheon. Tim Tyrrell, retired professional NFL player, former President of the Chicago Chapter of the NFL Players Association and the QB who led the NIU Huskies to the MAC Championship in 1983. He was also named the MAC Player Of The Year that season. Tim played 7 years in the NFL as a fullback/special team’s captain for the Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo Bills, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. During his tenure, he was noted as one of the top Special Team players in the NFL and was voted Special Teams Captain, NFL Runner Up for Special Teams Player of the Year, NFL Pro Bowl-1st Alternate two years in a row, and Special Teams Player of the Year with the Los Angeles Rams.
