The Kiwanis Club Board of Directors voted to resume hybrid/in-person luncheon meetings at the Loudermilk Center beginning April 20, 2021.  This decision was not made lightly but rather in response to the decreasing number of new COVID-19 cases, the increased ability for a large segment of the population to receive vaccines and many requests from our current members.  In addition, the Loudermilk Center has undergone extensive transformations to ensure the safety of our members, and our club has established new requirements, including mandatory registration, if you want to attend meetings in-person.
The Loudermilk Center has implemented protocols to keep all members safe including extensive training for all staff, continually sanitizing of all public spaces during the day, redefining space for social distancing, serving a boxed lunch and incorporating live streaming capability, among others.  Upon entry to the center, all members must wear masks when not seated and eating their lunch, will receive temperature checks upon entry and must use hand sanitizer when entering the meeting space.

We will be using the upstairs Grand Room or Ann Cramer Room for the next several months.  Seating will be limited to 40 people, 3 per table, to ensure safe, social distancing.  And all members and their guests must abide by the new protocols below.  Member volunteers will be trained in the  new paperless check in system as well as seating individuals at the socially distanced tables.
  1. ALL MEMBERS MUST MAKE A RESERVATION in advance of the luncheon meeting.  Reservations will open on the Tuesday prior at 1:15 pm and members will have priority access until Wednesday at 5 pm.  Guests are welcome and may reserve an unused space after this time.  All Reservations must be received by Friday at Noon or until the space is sold out.  Due to limited space and food service, NO last-minute member walk ins or guests will be allowed.  COMPLETE RESERVATION AND PARKING INFORMATION WILL BE EMAILED SOON!
  2.  All members and their guests must bring their own face masks and wear them when entering the Loudermilk Center, have a temperature check and use hand sanitizer upon entering and keep a social distance between other individuals.  Masks should be always worn, except while eating, and especially if walking around or using the restroom.
  3.  Members may arrive as early at 11:30 am and will be seated immediately after the paperless check in process.
  4.  The use of name badges will be suspended until further notice as we determine the best way to sanitize them.
  5.  Member Volunteers will be trained in seating members at socially distanced tables and members will be seated upon arrival so there are no large gatherings in the reception space.
  6.  Upon leaving the meeting, members should continue to social distance while walking to their cars.
  7.  The Loudermilk Center will immediately sanitize the meeting space after the meeting.
Due to limited seating, we understand that not everyone will be able (or ready) to join us for in person meetings, and we encourage you to continue to enjoy the meetings via Zoom.  The registration for Zoom meetings will not change.

Regular and Corporate Members who elect not to join in person meetings, will continue to have their meal credits: 1)posted to their accounts, 2)made as a donation to the club Foundation, or 3)contributed back to the club.  Credits will continue as members have previously indicated.  Once a member attends an in-person meeting, those credits will stop.  If you would like to change how your luncheon credits are applied, please email KiwanisClubAtlanta@gmail.com.

Your board of directors will continue to monitor the situation and will increase attendance as it is safe to do so.  Watch your email for continued announcements.
