Many ask of you might ask yourselves why you should go to a Lions convention. This years convention will be like no other.  Here is why.

This year we are celebrating 100 years of Lions in Colorado.  This year’s combined State/Districts convention will be fitting for this celebration.  Through surveys and interviews over more than a year, we have feedback from Lions throughout Colorado on what they want in the Lions convention. What we have heard is Lions want Service, Learning, Fellowship, Interaction and Fun.

This celebration convention will have it all.  We have Service Projects with a touch of competition between districts. This will have some amazing rewards. The service projects will include Vision, Youth, Hunger and Environment

We will have Learning Breakout Sessions with new ideas you can use.  Through the feedback from Lions we know the topics you want to hear.  The goal is learning something you can use now.

We heard loud and clear Lions want a more Interactive convention.  We will have this through the new format Lions Program Breakout Sessions as well as the Service Project and Learning Session Breakout Sessions.

Fellowship is just all of the convention!  From all the breakout sessions to the meals to the hospitality suites to meeting Past International President Joe Preston. This convention will have a lot more opportunities for fellowship.

This convention will be more fun!  If just being together is not enough fun, we will have a professional comedian - motivational speaker, Brad Montgomery.  Check him out at: www.bradmontgomery.com

Yes, coming to the convention costs money. But you are getting a lot of value for your money.  In addition to everything listed above you get, to name a few – great meals (not the normal convention food), snack breaks in the morning and afternoon, commemorative 100 year program, name badges, convention pin.

It is in Denver at the DoubleTree at Orchard and I25  on May 19 - 20.  The Denver Lions have three members running for office:  Dwight Steen, Eye Bank Board;  Flossie O'Leary, Lion Camp Board; Steve Kinsky, District Governor.  They Need your Vote.

Most of all, you will celebrate 100 years of Lions in Colorado with your fellow Lions.
