Wow. What a couple of months for glasses.
There just seems to be more and more people suffering in both their vision and their ability to afford to take care of themselves.
There were some great stories about receiving new glasses in this group.
- A woman with terminal cancer that was going to have to scrape to pay and we helped her
- Two different men recently released from prison that couldn’t believe we could help him them out, one had been incarcerated for 30 years
- Four men from our New Life Program that have zero funds, but are investing the next 12-15 months to rehabilitate their lives received glasses
- A 10-year-old child of a working poor family that is buried underneath medical bills from when the entire family was severely injured from an auto accident. The child’s vision is damaged due to that accident.
The $400 donation in November from the Denver Lions Club goes a long way in helping people
