Kevin Glynn is a retired pulmonary physician with Scripps Health in La Jolla.  He practiced in San Diego for 35 yearswas medical director of respiratory care at Scripps Mercy Hospital, and a clinical professor of Medicine t UCSD.

 

A native of Chicago, he graduated from Northwestern University Medical School, and completed residency at the University of Michigan. Before coming to San Diego he was on the staff of the medical chest service at Milwaukee County General Hospital. In 2017 he published Gasping For Air, a book on how our breathing is killing us and what we can do about it.

 

He has been a member of Old Mission Rotary Club since 2001, and is on the Rotary District 5340 Immunization Committee. Married for 55 years he lives with his wife, Patty, in La Jolla. The couple has five adult children and nine grandchildren.

 

This week he is going to talk with our club about a little known but important public health problem: the connection between San Diego and Baja in perpetuating tuberculosis.
