President and CEO

Lori has a passion for helping others and has been an active supporter of San Diego Habitat for Humanity for many years.  Since 2012, Lori has served at the helm of the organization, guiding Habitat in providing a hand up to families that might not otherwise have the ability to have a place to call home.

Lori Holt Pfeiler has demonstrated true commitment to San Diego with over 25 years of community involvement.  Elected to the Council of the City of Escondido in 1992, she continued her service as Mayor there for three terms.

She has been widely praised for her regional leadership, especially for her expertise in transportation and housing issues, serving as Chair of the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) from 2008 to 2010.  Most recently, Lori served as Associate Vice President of the Regional Vision Initiative of the San Diego Foundation, where she directed the process to create a 50-to 100-year strategic vision and action plan encompassing the shared values and priorities of all residents of the San Diego region.

Lori has earned a BA in Accounting and an MBA from CSU San Marcos.  She and her husband Tim have been married for over 35 years and have a daughter, Lindsey.

Lori will talk about the state of housing in the region and then Habitat specifically.
