10th Annual Polar Plunge for Polio

As you know, 2020 is a LEAP YEAR and the Polar Plunge Team has just the idea of how you can spend your extra day for GOOD!
Polio Chair Sheryl Meehan and our Polar Plunge Team is thrilled to announce that our 2020 Polar Plunge to End Polio is on Saturday, February 29, 2020 (snow day March 14th) and we can't wait to celebrate our 10th Anniversary with a BIG goal. As you may have heard we're hoping to reach $1 MILLION in cash gifts by June 30th and we're so close! We're asking you to help us end polio by giving you a few options to participate through your home club:

3) Consider taking your friends and family to our Polio Pops event on December 13th. Each ticket has a $100 donation included and there are 3 ticket levels to choose from. Click for tickets.
4) Come to Long Beach in Good Harbor on February 29th to hold a towel, take pictures, scream and shout and cheer us on!
And importantly...
YES! Your fundraising will be matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation;
YES! Your cash donations and fundraising will earn Paul Harris Credit;
YES! You can invite your friends, family, and non-Rotarians (in high school or older) to plunge with you! and...

My final request is that you welcome my friends on the Polar Plunge Team into your club to speak about polio and the Plunge. Rotary District 7930 (eastern Massachusetts & southern New Hampshire) will hold its 10th Annual Polar Plunge to Eradicate Polio on February 29, 2020 (snow date March 14). We will plunge into the frigid waters of the Atlantic Ocean at Long Beach in Gloucester at 11am.
Sign up to plunge, donate to a plunger or be a cheerleader. Your support will make a difference!
