SPEAKER OF THE WEEK

Our speaker this week was Shawna Pelton. Shawna is an expert on personal transformation and professional excellence.

She believes that each one of us is empowered to make positive changes in our lives.  Giving and receiving are both great qualities for a happy life.  She says that gratitude is the single best predictor of happiness.

She said that sometimes we all have difficult times, or are out of sync.  Our ability to connect with others affects our health.

Shawna says there are 4 keys to harmony:
  • Compassion - "I understand."
  • Forgiveness - "I'm sorry, please forgive me."
  • Love - Feel your expression of love, let your body feel that love
  • Gratitude - Express gratitude, "Thank you for listening to me." Feel gratitude in your body
Shawna believes if there is more happiness and peace on an individual basis, the world will be a better place.  She says being critical or resentful is not natural, but it is normal. We need to make peaceful thoughts natural and normal.
