Rotary Club Malta is honoured to have a special guest for our talk of the 23 Nov 2020. Francesco Arezzo is not only a Past District Governor of our District 2110 (2009-10) but also served in a number of very prestigious roles at a national and International level.  Francesco served as a Director of the Rotary International Board, representing zone 14 (Italy and France), for a period of 2 years up until 30 June 2020. During his second year, Francesco was the Chairman of the Rotary International Executive Committee which also consisted of the Rotary International President, Mark Maloney, President Elect Holger Knaack, the RI Treasurer and RI General Secretary John Hewko. Francesco was also the Convener of the Rotary Institute held in Catania in October 2019. 

As District Governor of our District 2110, Sicily and Malta 2009/10, Francesco was particularly close to the Clubs in Malta, visiting the island on other occassions apart from for his official Governor's visit. This included his attendance at the first Rotary Hands-On Day at held at Dar il-Kaptan in October 2009.

Francesco was also in Malta during the visit of Rotary International president Ravi Ravindran to attend the COGM meeting as well as attending Rotary Club Malta's 50th anniversary celebrations in December 2017.

Francesco is particulaly well placed to address our club on the subject of "The Future of Rotary".
